Pruning Apple Trees, a workshop from the HCMG

The Haliburton County Master Gardeners will be running workshops at the Minden Cultural Centre during the winter and spring on the care and maintenance, pruning, and grafting of apple trees.

This is a follow-up from our Heritage Apple Tree Project of the last two years.

On Saturday, March 23, at 10 am will be a workshop on Pruning Apple Trees. 
The workshop will include two sessions: one indoor session and a practical hands-on outdoor session. There is a cost for this workshop, as it will be run by a local professional Horticulturist, Jennell Bilodeau. The topics will include the principles of pruning, equipment, and techniques to restore older trees and prune new trees properly to ensure healthy growth and maximum yield.Cost $20 per participant.
