Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

Do you remember the Asian Ladybug invasion of 2001? Recently, in the United States, there are photos of residents sweeping Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs off their walls and porches. But unlike the Asian Ladybug whose diet was aphids, the BMSB consumes all manner of plants, both crops and ornamentals. Currently, so far, it has been found in Hamilton Ontario only. But as with all invasive species we must be vigilant. (Are you now visioning the Emerald Ash Borer, the Japanese Beetle (aka Rose Chafer), the Asian Long Horned Beetle…?)
