Brunnera Jack Frost

2012 Perennial of the Year - Brunnera macrophylla ‘Jack Frost’

Known as a Heritage Perennial, ‘Jack Frost’ Brunnera is a stunning plant for the shade to part shade zone 4 garden.  Leaves are a heart-shaped silver colour delicately veined with mint green, allowing this plant to really stand out in the shade.  Bright blue forget-me-not type of flowers appear mid to late spring, adding early and long lasting colour to the spring shade garden.  An excellent specimen plant, this is an easy to grow perennial in all but the driest of sites.  If planting in a part shade garden, afternoon shade will help prevent scorched leaves.
